Fridays Are For One Question

This past week I stood and listened to my son having an in depth and serious conversation with two of his buddies.
The subject? Star Wars.
It was surreal to think about that I had this same conversation 20 years ago regarding the exact same thing with my friends. Star Wars, love it or hate it, is a cultural phenomenon. And let’s face it – there’s not that many things out there with such significant staying power. So this week’s question is simply:
“What’s your favorite memory surrounding Star Wars?”
**The goal of “One Question Friday” is simple: To show that everyone has something funny, engaging, creative, and worthwhile to say. So comment away! Be real. Be creative. Think hard. And check back to see how others answered the question.

Going to see The Empire Strikes Back in 1979 (I think) at The Egyptian theater in Hollywood. Arriving late and having to sit all the way down front. First time ever for “surround sound” and being so close to the very large semi-circular screen, when the fighter jets would fly across the screen the sound would go from one side of the theater to the other and I’d actually have to move my head left to right,,,right to left. It was like being right in the middle of the battle. It was so cool. I think I was high at the time, too. (before I met Jesus, of course)
