Fridays Are For One Question

If you ask me what sports team I most love to hate, I would answer you very, very quickly:
The New York Yankees.
The Yankees, with their smug pinstripes and World Series trophies… arghhhhh….
But I was shocked this week to read a new study that the most reviled baseball team is NOT the Yankees, but the Cleveland Indians.
What?!?!?!?
But that points to the fact that as much as any of us loves to root for a sports team, we love to hate another team even more. So for this week’s question, let’s go beyond the realm of baseball to sports in general:
“What is the one team you most love to hate?”

It’s not the team…I’m married to a graduate of Alabama, but I really strongly dislike Nick Saban. He may be the best thing since Bear Bryant, but there is something about that guy. I can’t tell you exactly. It’s in his eyes. They are shifty or something. Shhhh!

Now I’m curious – is there anyone out there who does legitimately like the Yankees? There must be if you’ve got to pay a thousand dollars for a hot dog in the new stadium.

I love the Yankees…ain’t nothing prettier than those pinstripes!
So, my teams? Nothing gets my blood boiling like the ugly crimson Okies from Oklahoma. Blech.
And, the Mexican national team is sooooo not my favorite…chanting Osama soon after 9/11 sealed that deal.

I grew up in the metro NYC area, so I am an unashamed Yankees fan. I’ve even been out on the field (with my high school marching band) at the old Yankees stadium. Didn’t have to pay $1000 for a hotdog, but it was back in the 80s.
